Today I have all sorts of goodness to share!  First of all, let’s talk about this fun statement necklace!  It’s gifted from 9th & Elm – a site that sells handmade and independent designs.  It’s such a fun piece!  And it looks great with this vintage maxi.  Win-win!

Speaking of maxi skirts, here’s a little something for those of you who are still a bit on the fence about giving this skirt length a try…or maybe you’re looking to change up your styling a little.

Over the weekend I was in and out of downtown…BlogHer ’13 was in Chicago and I had some socializing to do!!

The weekend felt like a blur!  It was so great to meet other bloggers and chat in person!  In case you’re not following KUF through any social media channels (though you totally should!), here’s some of the highlights from the weekend fun…

The Statement Necklace – 3 Ways

Last Wednesday I ordered this necklace from Accessory Mercado’s flash sale.  I love how it’s so colorful and bold…it’s like summer in a necklace!

Of course when it arrived in the mail, I had to spend a few minutes trying to incorporate it with my old stuff.  Over the weekend we have a birthday party to attend, so my mind was on party outfits.  Here’s a few ways I’m planning on breaking in this necklace…

With a necklace this flashy, I kept all my other pieces nice and simple…let the necklace do the eye-catching!

Just a couple of days left to speak your peace…I’ll be drawing 3 winners on Monday!  Enjoy the weekend!

How to Wear a Printed Maxi Skirt

Now this is what warm weather is all about!  A fun (borderline crazy) printed skirt with a bold color on top.  This skirt is easy to wear because the print is in black and white…so basically any solid color top will work.  When I’m feeling really brave, I mix a printed skirt like this with a printed top.

I think I feeling brave…I’ll show you next post.

Making a Statement {Necklace}

29 Oct 2012 Permalink

I’ve been seeing soooo many gorgeous looking statement necklaces on Pinterest.  So in efforts to keep the credit card bills down before the holiday shopping begins, I started mixing and matching my jewelry to create one fun piece.  One rhinestone necklace, a pair of clip-on earrings, and a brooch later…I’ve got a statement necklace that no one else has.

My Favorite Fall Piece

I have a green army jacket from Loft that I love.  (See here and here for posts with it in this week alone!)  So I knew that when I saw this camo jacket it would be my new favorite.  I’ve already worn it a few ways…

I prefer wearing it dressy (but I still need to try it with jeans!)  Have you been wearing camo? What have you been wearing it with?

Survival

07 Dec 2011 Permalink

I’ve been back working now for nearly a month since returning from maternity leave.  Every day brings new challenges, but there are some things that I would not be able to survive without…taking time to be organized, having a FANTASTIC support team, and finding time for me (even if that means giving myself a mani during my lunch break!)

Gray Days

I’m always a fan of this neutral color…much softer than black and really works with nearly everything.  And it really seemed to fit my mood for the day…a day that included an emergency root canal…I’m sure that will cost a pretty penny.  Looks like everyone’s getting homemade gifts for Christmas!
