If you read my last post, then you know I’ve been having a bit of a moment with the color red.  (I really can’t stop wearing these shoes!)  Gold on the other hand, has always been a favorite of mine.  It’s one of those neutrals that plays well with just about all the other items in my closet.

On a sad (and shallow) note, my curling iron got destroyed.  Let’s just say using the tub as a place to cool off the styling tool wasn’t a good idea…just as it wasn’t a good idea for my husband to turn on the shower without looking inside the tub first.  Until I pick up a new one, I’ve been trying (unsuccessfully) to use my flat iron to add some curls and waves.  Uh…much harder than the YouTube video showed.  If you know how to curl hair with a flat iron, give me some tips!

Cool Down

This skirt has really been put to use! I’ve worn it like crazy during the summer, and now that the mornings are cooler, it works equally well with a buttoned cardigan.

On another jolly note…Happy Friday, people!  It’s the last day of the work week, and then I seriously need to decide what I’m going to do for Project DIY – Embellishment.  There are so many diy options…I’m having a hard time making a decision!  (Hope you’re getting your project done!  Remember to send me your info by August 29!)

No Velcro Please

Tights and motherhood are not a good mix.  You don’t realize how many toys/clothes/diapers have velcro until it’s too late…and if the baby junk doesn’t catch ya, the sharp, little toe nails will!

Tonight I’m headed to a clothing swap (my first ever!) hosted by this blogger…hoping to walk away with a good score or two.

Sheer Happiness

The sun is out, I have one week left of school before vacation, and I found this lovely sheer cardi for 3 bucks…what more could a girl ask for?!?

The thing I love about jackets/blazers/cardigans is that they are so versatile.  This makes it super easy for an expecting mama to use pieces from her “regular” wardrobe and incorporate them into her pregdrobe.
