You can always count on certain trends to pop up every fall.  Just look at animals prints and military wear…some form of them make an appearance each year!

This season, besides for animal print and army inspired pieces, I’m planning on wearing the heck out of these fabulous trends:

1. tweed and houndstooth prints

2. feline-inspired motifs (See this IFB post for lots of great inspiration!)

3. beading, feathers, and embellishments

4. different shades of pink

I’ve already got some of them in my closet, but I’ll be looking for some “new stock” soon!  What trends do you look forward to wearing in the cooler months?

Fashion Week has been my weakness these past few days.  I mean, nothing beats the stress away like looking at inspiring designs for next spring!  (I even started a board to keep track of my favorites.)  Some people may think it’s shallow, but after spending hours focusing on lesson plans, objectives, goals, grade-level meetings, open house preparation, grading, and teaching…I just need something that requires use from the other side of my brain!

And after seeing this cool sweatshirt pop up a few times this week, I think I know what my next diy project is going to be!

One final thought…Rena from The Girl With the Smile asked me some personal questions about blogging and stuff…check out my responses here!

Animal print can be very easy to wear, but it can also be easy to get a little carried away with it!  When I wear animal prints to work, I make sure that all my other pieces are neutrals or that they help tone down any craziness that might come with the territory of wearing such a feisty print.

And for all you brides to be, or if you just want in on some great make-up tips, check out this post from Stay At Home Susie!

These past few weeks I’ve been busy writing a grant for my classroom.  (Paperwork and research and more paperwork…blech!)  It’s tasks like these that drain my energy and make me question what I’m doing.  To keep myself positive and get my thoughts back on track, I look back at past accomplishments.

Take KUF for example.  If you look back at the beginning…wait, please don’t, it’s super embarrassing.  Let’s just pretend that you looked back.  You’d be able to tell that this blog has come quite a way.  And when I do encounter obstacles (like a husband who works too many hours to take my silly outfit pictures), I figure out ways to work around it.  (A tripod and remote can be such magical tools!)

How do you get yourself out of those funky ruts?  Is putting together a cute outfit one way?  (That makes me feel good too!)
