I am NOT a cold weather person. I’m not sure if it’s my hatred towards socks, or the chilly air that literally takes my breath away. Regardless, I’ve had to adopt a few cold weather coping skills.
Boots are definitely a must. Last year I practically lived in my ankle exposing Franco Sarto booties, but this year I’m all about covering as much of my legs as I can. I picked up these over-the-knee boots from DSW. I usually prefer a pointier toe, but these thick heels provide enough comfort for all-day wear.
Sweaters are another item that I can’t live without from November to March. I have them stock piled and ready for when the temps really dip down. This year I’m adding another must-have to my tops…the casual sweatshirt.
I picked up this black quilted sweatshirt – and three other sweatshirts – from thredUP. I love that it looks cute with skinny jeans and boots, but that it can also look stylish with my dress pants and heels for the classroom.
But as much as the cold – and dressing for it – makes me crabby, I’m always thrilled when I can get amazing pieces without spending a ton! That’s why I like shopping at places like thredUP.
thredUP is an online store featuring like-new clothing and accessories. It’s a great place to find amazing deals and many prices are up to 90% off retail! They also have a ton of clothes that are new with tags. This casual sweatshirt actually still had the tags attached when I got it!! The women’s selection is pretty amazing…plus, they’re always getting new items added to their site!
If you’re a first-timer, you can save 40% off your order this month with code NOV40. That’s awesome considering their prices are already majorly pocket-friendly! Looking great, staying cozy, and saving money…that’s a win in my book!!
