Sweater Weather | Cleaning Your Closet From One Season To The Next

Over the weekend I finally had the chance to pack up my summer clothes and unpack my bins of winter gear.  It was kinda refreshing to change out my closet.  I even went the extra step and really purged out things I haven’t worn in a while.

I used to be indecisive about what to toss and what to keep.  Now I’m a little more realistic.  I know that if I haven’t worn something in a while, chances are I’m not going to wear it.  Between cleaning out my closet and the kids’ drawers, I dropped off 5 bags of clothes to get donated.  It felt good to clean out the clutter!!

So great! Another thought is a clothing swap. Get a group of friends together and everyone ‘shop’ from each other’s unwanted yet perfectly good clothing. It’s so entertaining and everyone walks away with new clothes for FREE! Then all the extras get bagged up and head straight to a donation drop off. Thanks for the tips and tricks. ~ Tammy

Having a clothing swap is a great idea!! Such a fun way to pass along perfect items to your friends.

I also started saving certain things that I don’t wear anymore in hopes that my daughter or nieces would wear them one day. Pieces like vintage DVF wrap dresses or Coach bags that my husband bought me and I never used…hopefully my daughter will appreciate these treasures one day!
