Easiest Way to Get Waves Without a Curling Iron
A little while back, my curler took a long walk off a short pier. And since I can never make up my mind when it comes to buying new hair styling tools, I decided to try my luck with curling my hair sans heat. A few YouTube videos and many trials (and errors!) later, this is what I came up with…
After washing my hair in the evening, I let it mostly air dry. Then I brushed it out and used my fingers to make a center part. I twisted both sides. (After twisting one side, I used my mouth as a third arm to hold the twist until the other side was done.) I used two pony tail holders to secure my hair. One tie went at the very bottom, and the other went in the middle. The final step…sleep time! In the morning, I applied my makeup and then…
…just removed the ponytail holders, finger combed, brushed out, and finished with styling products of choice.
Yes, it does require a little planning ahead in the evenings, but it doesn’t suck minutes out of my morning prep time. This is by far the easiest way to get waves without heat!

This is genius! It looks like your hair has some natural curl? I wonder if this would work on my stick straight hair

I love this! Totally doing it this weekend!
That’s awesome! You look great April!
I love this idea. I wonder if this works equally as well on shorter hair. I hope so. Your hair turned out gorgeous though.

thanks for sharing. i have naturally full / wavy hair and also do not have time for styling (as well as the damage that comes from heat). I use john frieda’s serum for my hair and let it air dry and get a similar look but i can never wash my hair at night because it gets all matted from sleeping on it so i might try this in the next few days.
