Floral Button Down
April 1, 2012
I was never really a fan of button down shirts…but then I got pregnant and the clothing options became limited. Now a days they are a staple in my wardrobe. Solid colors, stripes, polka dots…even ones, like this, covered in a floral print that looks like upholstery fabric. I like ‘em a smidge on the loose side and paired with a skinny pant…a perfect uniform for busy mamas!

So true, I used to have a ton of button downs and gave them all away. Kinda wishing I hadn’t been so rash.
Bummer. The same kind of thing would happen to me…then I started hoarding my clothes!
love those pants!
you’re so right. button downs are a must for mommas. as are top knots, which i see you already know.

This is a perfect look for a busy mom. And don’t think I didn’t notice the blossoms in the background with the floral shirt–nice touch! Thanks so much for sharing on Monday Mingle.
I have to agree…rarely wore button downs say 5 years ago..now a week doesn’t go by that I don’t- either the trends changed or I realized how great they are for layering and looking casual but chic!
Happy week to you.

I definitely need to pick up some more! Love your floral print!
Totally in love with this outfit!
you look great!
Love the pastel yellow jeans. I just thrifted a pair of bright yellow jeans and thought I might try to tone them down with a bleach bath, how did you do it?
It was super easy! I just mixed together some bleach and water in a bucket, and soaked the jeans for a few hours. I kept checking and stiring until it got to a color I liked. Then it was just a good rinse and wash away from being worn.
Very Cute, and love the bun atop your head!

Super cute top – love this look!
I really fell in love with button downs when i realized how versatile they could be. Love your flirty floral!
That shirt is so incredibly pretty! And I love that you bleached the jeans to get the shade you wanted. I’ve been wanting to try that. Would love for you to come link up your finds at my thrifting link up tomorrow!
