Return of the Pencil Skirt
February 17, 2012
I love a good pencil skirt. They are a staple in my teacher wardrobe and they’re finally making it back into my rotation (nothing wacks up a woman’s body like pregnancy!)
When I wear them during the cooler months, I like to either match my tights to the skirt or match my tights and shoes…it makes my already short (5’3″) frame seem a little taller.

I never would have guessed you were 5’3″. You do good job of looking taller!
I love that green skirt and that red top.
First visit here.

Thanks for stopping by KUF!
Yes, I do love a good pencil skirt, love how you have styled yours too.
I love a good pencil skirt too. I adore your green skirt. I almost bought a similar one the other week.
gorgeous color combos. i’ve yet to find a good pencil skirt to hit me at the right length, being 6 foot tall and all. you look great!
Oh, you lucky lady! Hand over a few of your inches and we’ll solve each others problems!
That green skirt is the bomb!!! I’m 5’3″, too and often have to get skirts shortened a little so they don’t swallow up my super short legs!!
I feel your pain! It can be such a hassle to hem up skirts and pants! Your legs don’t look short, though! I wouldn’t have guessed you’re also 5’3″!
Lovely outfits, you really suit a pencil skirt! <3
the first look is so adorable! once i lose all my baby weight, i might have to revisit the pencil skirt as well. first visit from steppin’ out.
I’m in love with the color of that pencil skirt! You look so beautiful!

Thanks, Rebecca! I’m really crushing on that green color, too!
These two looks are super cute! Visiting you from Monday Mingle.
Love the green skirt – that color looks so good on you!
A wardrobe staple. Love the way you paired it. Thanks so much for sharing your style on Monday Mingle.
The chambray and green skirt looks so great together. Definitely think matching tights with shoes or skirt works very well for lengthening. I finally did a little thrift outing this weekend, while helping a friend shop–you’ll appreciate this, found a vintage pencil skirt in bright blue for $3 (50% off at Savers) and plan to hem it up this coming week. Hope it turns out the way I imagine in my mind. You’re outfit is totally inspiring me to get crackin’ on it!!
Love the denim+green pairing!
i love a great pencil skirt, too. they are staples in my work wardrobe. the blue and green combination is pretty with the brown belt.
thanks for the well wishes. my cough is getting worse, but at least no fever.
