BIG BAG little bag
July 18, 2011
I’ve always felt a bit like a bag lady. Between schlepping around my school bag (teachers, you feel my pain here…papers, projects, etc…), lunch pack and diaper bag, the last kind of bag I wanted to use was a purse. So, I began to use a clutch for all of my personal essentials: wallet, keys, lip gloss, and phone. A clutch easily slides into my bag for work or daughter’s diaper bag (though technically we’re done with diapers!), and I can just as easily grab it and go when needed.
Anyone else take a different approach when dealing with bag overload?

I think that shirt is all that’s holding that baby in there !
Ba ha ha!!! And some days I swear this child is going to crawl out of my belly button!
What an excellent idea April!! I will try the clutch concept, better than the briefcase, lunch bag, and purse – especially in winter.
Love the shorts too!!
that clutch is amazing! xo
you are the cool-est mom!!!
I’m in total agreement with the clutch concept. I’ve never been a diaper bag kinda of gal so its handbags for me. The diaper bag was more for the Hubs or gramma. I often feel like a Sherpa lugging around too much stuff and it drives me up the wall. So to minimize all that, I pick a bag large enough to hold a few of his essentials (diapers, wipes, change of clothes and snacks) and my clutch. It has certainly gotten a lot easier now that he’s two.

Oh yeah…once they’re bigger you can put them to work! Julia has a little backpack that I make her use to carry her essentials sometimes (like to grandma’s or errand runs…) I know I’ll be back to the “real thing” soon though!
You look so adorable! I love your style and your baby (“bump”?). I love the bag and your little girls style, too! I avoid bag overload by cleaning it out every night and then packing EXACTLY what I need for the next day. Takes time but it is worth it. Cheers!
You look awesome! I love that necklace!
Your clutch is stunning! I can’t believe you grabbed it at a thrift store. It looks like something that could be on the shelves now. The necklace is lovely too! – Katy

You are adorable with a baby belly! Thinking about having another and wondering if I’ll look as cute as I did with the first two… this gives me hope!
